Character Design
For each recurring main character beyond the 2 included in a package.

An original decorative endpaper design such as flowers, leaves, birds, or a story motif.
Process
This is Mugi's overall process of production for illustrations in a children's picture book. *In some cases, there may be changes to the content or order.
1. Consultation
We discuss your story, readers, goals, schedule, usage, and required deliverables.
4-1. Rough sketches
I create the layout and composition for each interior illustration.
5. Cover Illustration
Follow the same process as in Stage 4.

2. Character Design
Together, we establish the recurring characters and overall visual direction.
4-2. Final linework
I refine the approved sketches into the final drawing structure.
6. End Paper
I develop the cover and selected optional artwork after the interior direction is established.
3. Story-breakdown
We review the manuscript and page flow, then discuss visual ideas for each scene.
4-3. Color artwork
I paint and finish each approved illustration in full color.
7. Delivery
You receive the final files in the formats and specifications stated in our agreement.
