Cover artwork created for Delightful Aging for People with Dementia, a Japanese medical textbook by Dr. Masahiko Fujii and Dr. Hidetada Sasaki.

The cover was created to offer students and emotional therapists a moment of rest, joy, and renewed passion for their work.

This art is not simply decoration. It is the reader’s first emotional experience of the book—a quiet reminder that medicine can make room for dignity, rest, and delight.

I experimented with a new color palette, going for warm yellow and orange, and I carefully positioned the birds to make it look just as if they were flying away.
