Then a rabbit walking a little ahead turned around and gently reached out his hand.
“Come. Hold on to me. It’s okay. I’m here with you.”
The girl quietly took his hand.
She didn’t have to do everything on her own.
When she couldn’t keep going, it was okay to reach for someone else’s hand.
Wrapped in the warmth of his hand, the path that had seemed so frightening moments before began to feel just a little less scary.
